Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has revealed that he wants to sign Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri this month.
Switzerland international Shaqiri has been linked with a move away from the German champions, having struggled to play regularly for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.
Italian giants Inter and Premier League outfit Liverpool are widely reported to be keen on signing the 23-year-old, who is considered as one of the best players in Europe.
Mancini has now publicly said that he wants to sign Shaqiri, but admits that it may not be possible.
One of the reasons why Inter could miss out on the former FC Basel star is that they may not have the money.
Bayern reportedly want £12.5 million for Shaqiri’s services, but Inter are unable to afford that, which means that Liverpool could secure the attacker’s signature if they cough up the cash required.
