Arsenal morning news: No attacking signing this month, Ozil set for return

A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger says he’s happy with the attacking options he has despite Lukas Podolski’s exit.

The German forward moves to Inter Milan on loan until the end of the season.

“We have many options when you think of the players who still have not played (against Hull), we have many solutions up front,” said the boss.

German midfielder Mesut Ozil has been tipped to return to the Arsenal squad against Stoke this weekend.

The £42.5 million star has been missing because of a knee injury he picked up last October.

He’s been tipped by the Telegraph to start among the substitutes.

Theo Walcott has revealed he’s happy to be back and playing at Arsenal.

Walcott is back to full fitness after picking up a knee injury which ruled him out for half of last season and most of the current campaign.

“It’s amazing to be back. Obviously it’s been a whole year now – to the day – and it’s nice to get my first start. It’s nice to blow the cobwebs away,” said Walcott.
