27 days until the transfer window closes. Here's a look at the developing stories...
Tottenham push for Delph
Tottenham are aiming to beat Liverpool to the signing of Fabian Delph from Aston Villa, by making the first offer. Delph's contract expires at the end of the season and Spurs are willing to test how determined they are not to sell this transfer window. The Mirror report they want to offer as little as £3 million for the England international in an effort to force the hand of Paul Lambert's side. The report adds, not for the first time, that Spurs could attempt a player plus cash exchange for the midfielder.
Sunderland want Van Dijk
Sunderland sent scouts to watch Celtic's Virgil van Dijk in action against Kilmarnock on Monday night, claim The Mail. The Dutch international centre-back has been subject of interest from Arsenal, while the paper also reports Everton hold an interest. Van Dijk helped Celtic to a 2-0 win, and is likely to have impressed the representatives from the Black Cats. Celtic are keen to resist any advances for the player, and have yet to receive any offers so far. The paper claim Sunderland are planning an £8 million bid.
Hernandez to Real move questionable
Javier Hernandez's permanent move to Real Madrid is in doubt, report The Star. The Mexican striker is on loan for the season, but has scored four goals in 16 total appearances, and is yet to convince the club he is worthy of signing. If they do not take up the option, the Manchester United owned player's future at the club looks bleak regardless, with the paper reporting Louis van Gaal is determined to sell him.
