Hull City boss Steve Bruce in awe of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez

Hull City manager Steve Bruce is full of praise for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has been singing the praises of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

Chile international forward Sanchez has been in sensational form so far this season, and he was once again superb on Sunday.

The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in the Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Hull in the third round of the FA Cup.

Sanchez’s corner set up Per Mertesacker’s opening goal in the 20th minute, and the former Barcelona star himself scored the second at the Emirates Stadium eight minutes from full time.

Bruce was impressed with the quality shown by Sanchez and is quoted as saying by The Sun: “Sanchez’s appetite and desire is what every player should be looking for.

“That’s what makes world class players and that makes him up there with the best. There was no sign of Sanchez being tired — he was outstanding and could have scored two or three.

“Sanchez is right up there with them (Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa). They have done it year in and year out but Sanchez is new to it in the Premier League. He is always a threat — he just never stops moving.”

Sanchez has been Arsenal’s best player so far this season and has been an absolute force in attack.

Ten goals and 51 chances created in 19 Premier League appearances tell volumes of a player who is simply indispensable for the Gunners.

Of course, the former Udinese attacker has struggled on occasions, but without him Arsenal would be struggling to sustain even a top-four challenge.
