Former West Bromwich Albion loanee Yassine El Ghanassy is on the verge of finally finding a new club.
The attacking midfielder has been out of contract since October when he agreed to cancel his Gent contract by mutual consent.
The once highly rated prospect is picking a surprise destination too, moving to Kazakhstani side FC Kairat.
The news is reported by Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblade, who write he has been tempted by the 'big money' on offer to sign a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old has two international caps for his country, but has fallen off the radar after an unproductive time since his loan spell with the Baggies.
He had signed in 2012 under Steve Clarke only for his loan spell to be terminated six months later after failing to win a regular place in the first team.
El Ghanassay has since had time on loan with Heerenveen and Al Ain, but after time on the shelf without a club, he will simply be glad to get back playing football again, even if it is over in Kazakhstan.
