Here is the Arsenal under-21 side to take on Wolves this evening.
Arsenal under-21s: Macey, Johnson, O'Connor, Ajayi, Smith, Kamara, Maitland-Niles, Iwobi, Zelalem, Crowley, Akpom
Subs: Huddart, Dobson, Willock, Mavididi, Hinds
Arsenal’s under-21 side could potentially move to the top of division two in the under-21 Premier League if they win this evening.
The Gunners are currently two points behind league leaders Newcastle United, with the North East side having a game in hand. However, Arsenal will prefer to have points on the board and the lead.
The most impressive thing about this young Arsenal side this season is the fact they have defended so well; they’ve conceded the fewest goals in division two and have a better record than Tottenham and Southampton, both in division one’s top three.
This is a real opportunity for some young guns to play well and grab the attention of first team boss Arsene Wenger, who has shown in the past that he will promote young players into his first team if he feels their form is good enough.
