Southampton's great season so far didn't translate to the FA Cup as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich Town at St. Mary's Stadium this afternoon.
Ipswich, second in the Championship, have been superb this term, and took the lead after 18 minutes, with Darren Ambrose looping a fine header past Fraser Forster.
Southampton responded 15 minutes later, with midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin capitalising on a mix-up between Tractor Boys goalkeeper Dean Gerken and centre back Christophe Berra to turn the ball home.
Ronald Koeman's Saints couldn't find the winner though, meaning the two teams have to do it all again at Portman Road later this month.
In search of the winner, Koeman brought off Dusan Tadic and threw on 21-year-old winger Lloyd Isgrove, who has been with the Saints since the age of nine.
The diminutive wide man had a loan spell with Peterborough last season but has been given little opportunity in the first team this season - until his 25 minute cameo today.
Isgrove impressed, and Saints fans were full of praise for him, hoping that he would get more first team action, with the Saints academy producing yet another bright player.
