QPR fans react on Twitter to Ferdinand's performance against Sheffield United

Queens Park Rangers lost 3-0 to Sheffield United in the FA Cup on Sunday, but what did fans make of Rio Ferdinand's performance?

It may not have been a priority for Queens Park Rangers this season, but a 3-0 defeat in the FA Cup to lower-league opposition was not something they would have wanted.

Harry Redknapp's side lost 3-0 to League One club Sheffield United on Sunday, with Marc McNulty opening the scoring and Jamal Campbell-Ryce netting a brace.

The Loftus Road crowd would not have expected such an outcome, especially when QPR fielding a strong side that included top-scorer Charlie Austin and Steven Caulker partnering Rio Ferdinand in defence.

But it was the latter player who came in for his fair share of criticism both during and after the match, with some fans questioning Ferdinand's inclusion and his contribution.

The 36-year-old has made eight appearances for QPR this season but has rarely featured recently, playing just one of the club's last 13 league games.

After the FA Cup tie, we took to Twitter to see what QPR fans made of Ferdinand's performance and below you can read a selection of what we found:
