The former gaffer did his best James Bond impression by turning up at Huish Park in a chopper.

Manchester United took on Yeovil Town in the FA Cup this afternoon and avoided a potential banana-skin, just.

They won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria, much to the pleasure of the travelling United faithful.

Of course it was a big journey from Manchester to the South West. So big in fact that the players who did not feature for United today, including Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie, were told they could watch the game from home.

But one fan who was not going to miss the game was former manager and club legend Sir Alex Ferguson.

He pulled out all the stops to get to Huish Park on time, but of course, he did not curl himself up in a coach for hours on end.

Instead he went the James Bond way, arriving in Somerset via helicopter.

The names Ferguson, Sir Alex Ferguson.
