Millwall would like to bring in Harding on a loan deal from their Championship rivals.
After a 3-3 draw with Bradford City in the FA Cup yesterday Millwall boss Ian Holloway admitted that he was ready to dive into the transfer market. One area in particular need of reinforcing is left-back, as their current star Scott Malone looks set to move on this week.
Malone is currently in talks with Cardiff City about a £100,000 transfer to the Welsh capital and that means Millwall will need to strengthen in the position.
It is reported by the News At Den website that Millwall are targeting Forest left-back Dan Harding. Harding, a seasoned professional in the Football League, is not a regular start for Forest, sitting behind fellow ex-Saint Danny Fox in the pecking order for Stuart Pearce's men.
Regular football would be offered to him at The Den, which may inspire him to force an exit from Nottingham Forest.
But with not much in the way of back-up to Fox at Forest allowing Harding to leave might seem an odd choice from Nottingham Forest.
But it would be the perfect move for Harding.
