Nir Biton: Celtic have a lot of advantages from set-pieces

Celtic Parkhead

The 23-year-old midfielder is looking to the likes of Virgin van Dijk, Efe Ambrose and more to help the Bhoys score more goals.

Celtic midfielder Nir Biton has singled out his side's height from set-pieces as one of their biggest advantages.

Biton believes the presence of himself, as well as other tall players such as Virgil van Dijk, Efe Amrbose and Charlie Muglrew, gives the Hoops a big boost when it comes to goalscoring.

And the 23-year-old wants Celtic to exploit that set-piece ability in order to get scoring regularly again.

“I hope in the next few months that the players [up front] will get more goals because it’s good for them as well," the Celtic midfielder is quoted as saying by the Scotsman.

"But it is not just the strikers, it is about the midfielders, and the wingers. About strikers, set-pieces, we have a lot of advantages in set-pieces, we have Virgil, Efe, Charlie, me, a lot of tall guys.

"We need to use the set-pieces as an advantage for us. Of course, it is not as easy. We need to score goals from the midfield and help the strikers win us games.”
