Manchester United morning update: Early team news; new Falcao twist

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United travel to Huish Park on Sunday, to take on Yeovil Town in the third round of the FA Cup.

It is manager Louis van Gaal’s first taste of the famous competition and it will be interesting to see who he sends out to play.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Ashley Young is definitely out with a hamstring injury, while Adnan Januzaj and Ander Herrera are expected to feature.

United are tipped to make plenty of changes after a busy festive period; but after the 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the League Cup earlier this season, when van Gaal fielded a particularly young side, the Dutchman is likely to strike a balance between youth and experience.

In other news, the Mirror reports that Radamel Falcao is being targeted by Italian side Juventus, who allegedly do not expected United to make the Colombian’s loan move permanent.

The report claims Juventus believe United will not opt to pay around £46million for the striker, leaving him open to a potential move to Turin.
