Manchester City fans react on Twitter to 'very poor' Kolarov display

The full-back has frustrated supporters for some time, it seems...

After Manchester City's FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday, pundits, players, fans and coach Manuel Pellegrini alike all appeared to be in agreement.

Indeed, the general concensus was that Manchester City had played badly. They got the win - thanks to two second-half goals from birthday-boy James Milner - but the performance left a lot to be desired.

Sheffield Wednesday certainly gave the Premier League champions a scare - and City supporters were unhappy with full-back Aleksandar Kolarov in particular.

“I’m relieved because I don’t think we played very well today,” boss Pellegrini is quoted as saying by Manchester City's official website after the game.

“Apart from the last 20 minutes, we played very badly because we didn't press well, we didn't have good movement and we didn’t make any chances while Sheffield Wednesday had just one opportunity from which they scored.

“We tried to change things in the final half-hour and found another gear and with Yaya Toure, James Milner, Samir Nasri and David Silva all on the pitch, we began to find space and finally create chances."

Back to Kolarov specifically, though, and Manchester City supporters were frustrated with the defender's display against Sheffield Wednesday - not his first that was below par according to many on Twitter after the win.

What's more, the City man also took issue with fans during the game... always a recipe for disaster!
