Juventus ready to enter race for Radamel Falcao’s signature - report

The Colombia international is on loan at Old Trafford, but the Turin giants are monitoring his situation carefully.

Radamel Falcao’s future beyond this season is still up in the air, with the Colombia international on loan at Manchester United currently but no permanent move agreed.

The Monaco forward has scored three goals for Louis van Gaal’s men this season but has failed to show the form that has made him such a sensation elsewhere.

With the Old Trafford outfit yet to make the South American marksman’s move to Manchester permanent, a report today states that there are other major suitors interested in Falcao.

The Mirror claim that Juventus have reentered the race for Falcao’s signature and are ready to pounce should United fail to reach a deal to keep the striker at the Premier League club.

Juventus managing director Giuseppe Marotta has previously stated that the 28-year-old would have moved to the Italian champions in the summer, but United’s interest scuppered a deal at the last minute.

United will have to pay an astronomical transfer fee to make Falcao’s stay permanent, with reports claiming that it will take a £46 million figure to keep him at Old Trafford.

The Monaco striker has been playing up front alongside Robin van Persie for the bulk of this season and scored United’s equaliser in their recent 1-1 draw with Stoke.
