Jermaine Jenas's warning to Spurs about Sheffield United

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was sufficiently impressed by Sheffield United's cup conquering of Queens Park Rangers.

So Sheffield United's cup success continues.

On the face of it, their FA Cup win at QPR was not all that surprising to many. QPR have struggled badly in patches this season and the Blades just look built for knockout competitions.

But a 3-0 win - at Loftus Road - was nevertheless impressive for a League One side.

And Sheffield United's triumph was good enough to prompt ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas to sound a note of caution to his former side.

Tottenham, of course, will face Nigel Clough's men in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup over two legs and, though they are favourites on paper, the Blades' track record shows just why Spurs should in no way be complacent about the tie.

Jose Baxter impressed Jenas in particular but Sheffield United looked unfazed as a whole at QPR earlier today. Tottenham should not take anything for granted, then, when it comes to their clash with Clough's side.
