Arsenal comfortably saw off Hull City in the third round of the FA Cup today, with a 2-0 victory sending them into the fourth round.
A first half header from Per Mertesacker and a sweet strike from Alexis Sanchez after the break handed the Gunners an easy passage through to the next round.
One of the big talking points was that manager Arsene Wenger decided to give Theo Walcott a starting role, with the winger still recovering from the torn anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered a year ago, whilst he also picked up a groin injury in November.
Walcott has played just 52 minutes this season, but was thrown in from the start today, and played 75 minutes before being substituted for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Walcott's game was a little hit and miss. His first touch evaded him too often, and whilst he got himself into great positions, he didn't have the end product.
Arsenal fans were divided over his performance; some said that he has always been average and there are too many excuses being made for him, whilst others believed that his display was encouraging, and he can only get better with more playing time.
Here are some of the reactions from Arsenal fans on Twitter...

Fantastic to see Theo #Walcott back, although he was hiding a bit today. Can't wait till he gets back to full fitness/confidence!— Sam (@samthegooner) January 4, 2015
