We take a look at three deals Chelsea could complete in the coming days.
With the January transfer window open, football clubs up and down the country will be considering making the signings they hope could prove the difference in the second half of the campaign.
Here we consider three deals Chelsea could push through in early January.
Andrej Kramaric to arrive
This move seems only a matter of time, with Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric reportedly on the verge of signing for the Blues.
The 23-year-old is hot property having scored 28 goals in 30 matches so far this season and Chelsea are believed to have won the race to sign him.
The only question is: With some top class strikers already on their books, could the Blues send him out on loan almost as soon as he arrives, or will Jose Mourinho find space for him from the outset?
Mohamed Salah to leave on loan
Mohamed Salah has not had the best of seasons at Chelsea despite impressing shortly after his transfer from Swiss side FC Basel.
The 22-year-old is reportedly on the verge of a loan move to Inter Milan, although Mourinho may be wise to send him on loan to another Premier League side to see what he can do when played week in, week out in the English top flight.
Marco van Ginkel to return early
In some ways Marco van Ginkel has become Chelsea’s forgotten man following some bad luck with injuries, and that poor fortune has continued during the Dutchman’s loan spell at AC Milan.
The midfielder has made just two appearances for the Italian side this season and he is currently side-lined with an ankle ligament injury.
His loan spell is due to end at the end of the season but do not be surprised if he returns early so Chelsea can monitor his progress closely and perhaps use him in the run-in when required.
