As if Sunday's 3-1 home defeat to Birmingham City wasn't bad enough, Nottingham Forest have now been dumped out of the FA Cup after a 1-0 defeat to Rochdale.
The pressure is mounting on manager Stuart Pearce, who had also seen his side lose 3-0 to Middlesbrough on Boxing Day, and will have a tough time recovering from the latest defeat.
League One side Rochdale have been strong this season, but were still expected to come up short against a Forest side who have millions of pounds worth of fire power.
Pearce started with the likes of Chris Burke, Michail Antonio, Britt Assombalonga and Lars Veldwijk, who cost a combined £7.5m this summer - but they couldn't break down Keith Hill's resilient Dale.
The only goal of the game came after just 12 minutes, with Antonio bringing down Joe Rafferty inside the penalty area, and Peter Vincenti stepped up to convert the resulting spot-kick to give Rochdale the lead.
Forest fans are calling for Pearce's head, and his return to the City Ground is threatening to turn ugly after a third successive embarrassing defeat.
