Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has been linked with a January exit.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is reportedly looking at Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah as he bids to boost his squad with a raid on the Premier League.

The former Manchester United boss became the new manager of Real Sociedad in November and has been tasked with leading the club up the La Liga table.

With his knowledge of the Spanish top flight likely to be a little hazy, it comes as little surprise to see the Scot return to the Premier League to strengthen his squad.

According to The Mirror, his first target is the Blues’ out-of-favour winger Salah and talks by way of enquiries are said to have already begun.

“David Moyes wants to take Chelsea misfit Mohamed Salah on loan to Real Sociedad. Moyes has made an enquiry about the former FC Basel winger,” states the report.

Salah only moved to West London this time last year for a reported £11million fee as the Blues beat competition from Liverpool to his signature.

Despite arriving from Swiss champions Basel with bags of potential, Salah has been used sparingly over the past 12 months as he struggles to break in to the first-team.

Competition in the attacking slots are heavy at Stamford Bridge, resulting in the Egyptian ace making a mere three Premier League substitute appearances this season.

Boss Jose Mourinho told reporters in recent weeks he has no intentions of selling the 22-year-old, but a loan spell for a non-rival in La Liga could be seen as an enticing option.
