Carl Jenkinson eyes West Ham United win v Everton in FA Cup

Carl Jenkinson is looking forward to Tuesday’s FA Cup third-round tie between West Ham United and Everton.

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has said that he and his teammates are determined to return to winning ways against Everton on Tuesday.

The Hammers will head into the FA Cup third-round tie against the Toffees at Goodison Park on the back of a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at home.

Sam Allardyce’s side have struggled for points over the festive period, losing to Chelsea and Arsenal in successive matches before drawing with the Baggies.

Jenkinson, who is currently on loan at West Ham from Arsenal, hopes to pick up a win against Everton next week and progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

“The FA Cup is massive, everyone loves playing in it,” West Ham’s official website quotes the 22-year-old as saying. “We want to stay in it and progress as far as we can.

“We just have to go there with confidence. We're sixth in the league and doing really well. It's a massive game and we are all really looking forward to it.”

Jenkinson has been a regular for West Ham so far this season, creating nine chances in 16 Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 75%.
