West Brom fans react on Twitter to Sessegnon performance v West Ham

The midfielder was 'absolutely outstanding' against the Hammers, according to supporters.

It is a crucial time for West Brom when it comes to their Premier League status.

The Baggies have just sacked Alan Irvine - and more recently appointed Tony Pulis. So, if top-flight survival this season is to be ensured, West Brom need to do things right both on and off the pitch in the coming months.

Yesterday provided a reasonable starting point as Pulis watched from the stands. West Ham United led the Baggies 1-0 but a Saido Berahino equaliser earned a point for West Brom.

One particular performer, however, was due more credit than others - and was the subject of much praise from West Brom fans after the game on Twitter.

Andre Wisdom 1 32 12 64 90

That performer was Stephane Sessegnon and, as Opta stats show, he deserved the plaudits.

Against West Ham, the midfielder created five chances and took 72 touches of the ball. Sessegnon also completed 45 passes, 16 of which came in the final third.

If West Brom are to shine under Pulis, then, the 30-year-old will likely be vital to their success. Sessegnon was instrumental at West Ham and his creativity was central to anything good the Baggies produced.

Here are the best fan reactions on Twitter to the midfielder's display - hailed by many as 'outstanding' at Upton Park!
