According to the latest reports, Galatasaray have put a €7.5 million price tag on left-back Alex Telles as they brace themselves for a January transfer window bid.
The Turkish giants only bought the Brazilian ace last January for a reported €6 million fee but his four-year contract in Istanbul could be cut short.
Despite not gaining a regular first-team spot on arrival, this season under new coach Hamza Hamzaoglu the 22-year-old has been in fine form and has attracted interest across Europe.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be among those monitoring his situation and could be tempted to take advantage of Galatasaray’s financial situation and enticing price tag for their star performer.
“Galatasaray have set a €7.5 million valuation on their Brazilian left back Alex Telles. The Istanbul giants also want a 15% sell-on fee if he is sold again. The Brazillian’s agent Fernando Otto has stated that six clubs are chasing his client with the view of signing him in January,” Turkish-football.com reports.
Spurs currently boast a number of options at left-back but the inconsistency of Danny Rose may have forced boss Mauricio Pochettino to start looking elsewhere.
Telles is described as a quick, attack-minded full-back who, given the opportunity, likes to break forward and get involved in attacking situations - attributes which will impress Pochettino.
If the White Hart Lane outfit wish to complete a January move for the Brazilian they may have to move swiftly as Serie A giants Juventus and Roma are also said to be keen on acquiring his services.
