Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Chadli on fans, Kane plays down England hype

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Nacer Chadli has praised Tottenham’s fans for the way they got behind the team in the win against Chelsea.

Spurs produced some of their best football from the season so far to become only the second side to defeat Jose Mourinho’s men this season.

“It's a great game to win. The fans were behind us all the way. It's fantastic to beat Chelsea at home,” said the Belgian.

Tottenham left-back Danny Rose has become one of the latest to heap praise on striker Harry Kane.

Kane scored two top quality goals in the 5-3 win against Premier League leaders Chelsea yesterday.

“Harry can do no wrong at the minute - all the praise he gets is fully deserved,” said Rose.

There is now pressure on England boss Roy Hodgson to select Kane for the next senior squad call up.

However, the man himself has played down his chances of representing his country.

“I’m just enjoying it. I just want to be playing. We've had a lot of games over Christmas and it’s been great for me,” said Kane.
