The company isn't worried about its comparably-small playerbase.
Square Enix's three MMO's have a player-base of almost 1 million between them, which isn't a lot for one game, nevermind three.
Despite the figures revealed in the company's annual report, which you can read in full over here, the company doesn't appear to be worried, saying they "have established a solid revenue base" between the games.
Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda said the following in a statement:
"Three major MMO titles - 'FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN,' which began operation last August, 'DRAGON QUEST X,' which was launched in August 2012, and 'FINAL FANTASY XI,' which has entered its thirteenth year of operation-maintain nearly 1,000,000 paying subscribers all together, and have established a solid revenue base."
There don't appear to be any figures that show the split between console and PC players, but even so, 1 million is 1 million, eh.
