Podolski deal details published, Mancini ready to welcome him

Arsenal seem to be ready to let Lukas Podolski join Inter on loan and Nerazzurri coach Roberto Mancini has answered questions on the German.

After weeks of speculation, Lukas Podolski could be an Inter player within the next few hours as details of an alleged loan agreement surface.

German international Podolski has become surplus to requirements at Arsenal this season and has admitted his frustrations at the lack of playing time.

Arsenal appear to have reacted an offer for Podolski at the start of the week, but now it seems that an agreement has been reached.

According to Italian sources, Podolski has accepted a big pay cut to make the switch until the end of the season while Arsenal have reduced the amount they want to be paid for the loan.

The Gunners reportedly initially wanted at least £700,000 but have reduced that to close to £400,000.

Inter boss Roberto Mancini was talking to fans online and fielded questions about Podolski, hinting that he is expecting to greet him soon.

"German players have always been important at Inter and done very well," he said. "I know Lukas well and he can play different roles in attack . He has great experience and ability."

It is being suggested that Podolski will arrive at Milan's Linate Airport later this evening at around 8.30pm.
