The West Ham star returned to action against West Brom.
The West Ham midfielder has struggled for game time this term, although he came on against West Brom yesterday, as opposed to playing a key role for the Hammers in the past.
And Jarvis admits he was 'extremely disappointed' to get injured at the start of the current campaign.
"It has been very frustrating for me but, when you get a chance to play, you have to do well and hopefully I have done that," Jarvis told West Ham's official website.
"I was extremely disappointed to get injured before the start of the season, that has cost me but now I am back to being fully fit and trying to get back into the team."
The winger's perils, however, are in fact yet another sign of strength at West Ham.
Such is the depth of the Hammers' current squad, it is almost bewildering to think that a pacy wide man such as Jarvis is waiting in reserve.
For if Jarvis hasn't even been in the West Ham side, you have to really appreciate the quality those above him in the pecking order must possess. And, now that he is almost fully fit and firing, they'll certainly have a battle on their hands to keep their place.
