The Leeds boss is targeting a key quality from his January signings.
Leeds are currently in a perilous position in the league table, sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone.
But Redfearn is remaining calm under pressure and says he has discussed his side's January transfer plans with owner Massimo Cellino.
And the one thing missing from his squad is experience to battle in English football's second tier, according to the 49-year-old.
"We lack a bit of Championship experience and it's something we will try to address," the Leeds boss told reports at a pre-match press conference earlier this afternoon.
"We've got a lot of football to play. I think if the right people come in, it will settle things down & help the lads."
Leeds face Sunderland in the FA Cup this weekend, in what will prove to be a welcome distraction from their troubled league campaign so far.
Meanwhile, Redfearn says the club will discuss what happens to striker Noel Hunt, who has just returned from a loan spell at Ipswich Town.
