The 22-year-old forward will give his 'maximum' if given a chance by the Magpies.
Newcastle United's squad depth can't really be disputed in terms of numbers.
Quality and strength in depth is one thing - but the Magpies certainly have plenty of numbers.
The case of Facundo Ferreyra is a prime example. The summer signing has barely featured for Newcastle, showing that they have had plenty of other options to turn to, even if they haven't always been up to standard.
And Haris Vuckic is another such Newcastle star. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is on the definition of the fringes at St James' Park and, on video game series FIFA, has been on the loan list for years (that says something).
But Vuckic could get his chance in the FA Cup this weekend.
“Yes, it’s always a chance for players who don’t normally play to show what they can do. I have to train well and maybe I will get my chance," Vuckic is quoted as saying by the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
“If I do, I will give it my maximum.”
Whether those in charge on Tyneside pursue that selection strategy remains to be seen, however, as Newcastle fans will be keen for their side to take their final cup competition of the campaign seriously.
