Mohamed Salah seems to be headed for a loan spell at Serie A side Inter with reports indicating that a move could be completed over the weekend.
The 22-year-old has struggled to command a regular place in Jose Mourinho's first team and could gain some valuable experience at Inter where there are fewer midfield options.
Inter have looked short of a creative spark this season and new boss Roberto Mancini is said to see Salah as the man to bring that.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will continue to pay a significant percentage of Salah's wages while he is at San Siro, but that may be necessary if the Italians are to afford him.
Chelsea signed Salah for £11 million from Swiss side Basel last January, but he has only made seven appearances, mainly from the bench, this season.
While Mourinho has flatly denied reports Salah could leave on loan in the press, it seems the Special One may have been bluffing.
