HITC Sport assesses three candidates for Manchester City's worst ever signings.
Still at Manchester City today, Scott Sinclair has made a minimal impact at the Etihad Stadium.
Once of Chelsea, the winger appeared to make the wisest decision of his career when he left the Blues for Swansea City. His impressive form in Wales then earned him a move to Manchester.
But, at City, Sinclair's career stalled - and the jokes simply roll out on Twitter whenever he comes on for Manuel Pellegrini's side. Most of them have a 'Sinclair's alive!' theme to them.
Another puzzling signing at Manchester City, Spaniard Javi Garcia has since been sold to Zenit St Petersburg - with reports surfacing in the last month that the Russian club may want to part ways with him already.
The 27-year-old had some good games for City but never quite fully imposed himself upon the starting XI. In the end, Garcia proved an underwhelming signing for the club, especially during a summer in which City only needed the best of the best after winning the Premier League.
An interesting candidate, Jack Rodwell was perhaps unlucky during his time at Manchester City due to injury trouble. But the 23-year-old was still far from a straightforward signing - and far from the big name fans wanted at the Etihad at the time.
Rodwell has since moved to Sunderland, even scoring against City during their Premier League clash yesterday afternoon. But, even if the midfielder had been fully fit at all times, would he really have become a regular in City's starting XI?
Not happy with the above choices - who do you think are Manchester City's worst ever signings?
