Tottenham Hotspur fans react on Twitter to Danny Rose's performance

Danny Rose was one of the scorers as Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea 5-3.

Tottenham Hotspur produced a superb performance to beat Chelsea 5-3, with several standout performances.

Danny Rose was one such player who bounced back from an early setback to help turn the game around in Tottenham's favour.

Rose had been slack for Chelsea's opening goal, but ran more than 70 yards to give his side the lead by turning home a rebound just before half-time.

The defender has had plenty of criticism last season for poor displays at left-back, but begun this campaign much improved and even won a call-up to the England squad,

Of late however he had lost his place to Ben Davies, and was a little of a surprise selection to face Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

His tireless work in the 5-3 win proved head coach Mauricio Pochettino's choice to be anything but a mistake.

He made five tackles, the highest of any Tottenham player, and three interceptions - the equal highest of any defender.

Rose was substituted to applause from Spurs fans, and supporters took to Twitter to express their delight and even a little surprise with his display...
