Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is delighted with his side’s performance against Arsenal on Thursday.
Sadio Mane gave Southampton the lead on 34 minutes and Dusan Tadic doubled the advantage 11 minutes into the second half.
"I think we played good football,” BBC Sport quotes Koeman as saying. “We had very good organisation and had the best chances in the game. We had to kill it after 2-0 and in several moments our defending was outstanding.
"We had to score more. It's strange to beat Arsenal 2-0 and you're a little bit critical as we should have had three or four more at least today.
"We have a good team and can beat the big ones if we show the spirit we did today, everything is possible. We don't dream about the Champions League, we dream about our football and we will continue like that."
Southampton remain fourth in the Premier League table with 36 points from 20 matches, while Arsenal are three points behind in fifth.
