Tottenham are a long way off success, according to BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson.

The former Liverpool defender believes Spurs rode their luck against Mancheser United and that the head coach is not pleased with his team.

He said: "Tottenham have taken 10 points from their last four games but they were lucky to get away with a draw against Manchester United and I do not see them getting away with it against Jose Mourinho's side.

"As a team, Spurs have got shortcomings and I think they will be exposed by the leaders.

"I look at manager Mauricio Pochettino when he was on the touchline and he looks frustrated. He knows he still has a lot to do there."

Spurs were beaten comfortably by Chelsea last month 3-0, but that has been the only glitch on a positive run of results in the Premier League since the international break.

If the Argentine really is unhappy with his options, then he is doing a fantastic job with Spurs so far, who sit seventh in the Premier League, just two points off fourth spot.

With the transfer window now open, Pochettino can begin acting on improving the team to fit his own football philosophy and sell the players he no longer wants.
