The Scottish Premiership game between Partick Thistle and Celtic has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The match was scheduled to kick off at 5.30pm today at the Firhill Stadium, but it has been called off after an inspection.

A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.

“Unfortunately, following a pitch inspection, and despite the best efforts of the ground staff, today's game against Celtic has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch,” read a statement on Thistle’s official website.

Ronny Deila’s Celtic are currently two points clear at the top of the Premiership table with 39 points from 18 matches, while Thistle find themselves ninth in the standings with 20 points.
