Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has backed Harry Kane to become a regular goalscorer.
England Under-21 international Kane took his tally to seven goals in the Premier League this season with his brace against Chelsea in the 5-3 win at White Hart Lane on New Year’s Day.
Kane has scored 16 goals in all competitions so far this campaign and is very likely to reach the 20-goal mark in the next few games.
"Yes, why not?” Pochettino told BBC Sport when asked if Kane is showing that he can be a regular 20-goal-a-season striker for Tottenham.
“He shows to work hard everyday. We need to recognise the team because the team performance was great and we need to keep this feeling for the next step.”
This is Kane’s breakthrough season, and the youngster has certainly excelled and surpassed Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Englishman’s nose for goals and link-up plays has been hugely impressive, and it is clear that he has a bright future.
If Kane is given the chances that he has been getting this season, then he is certainly going to progress and develop in the coming years.
