Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Jordan Henderson's performance v Leicester

Liverpool supporters didn't see the logic behind Brendan Rodgers' decision to play Henderson at right wing-back against the Foxes.

After Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Leicester on New Year's Day, it was a case of one step forward and two back for Brendan Rodgers' side.

A 4-1 win against Swansea City saw the Reds produce a fantastic performance, possibly their best of the season. But Swansea were perhaps as bad as Liverpool were good, meaning a Leicester side that came at Rodgers' men at Anfield caused real problems earlier today.

Two fortunate penalties put the home side 2-0 up but it mattered little. The Foxes hit back, making it 2-2 and even having chances to win the game.

Liverpool's display, meanwhile, was flat. There was none of the fluidity exuded against the Swans and Leicester City had it easy at times.

And a key issue Liverpool fans took with the game on Twitter was the performance of Jordan Henderson. Reds fans were not happy with the midfielder's display - but through no fault of his own.

Indeed, Henderson's superb showing against Swansea was widely acknowledged by the Kop. So what had he done to deserve being shunted out wide to right wing-back when his best position is in central midfield? That was an overriding thought after the 2-2 draw with Leicester, something Reds fans feel Rodgers got very wrong...
