The retired midfielder believes that the Polish stopper has outstayed his welcome in the number one spot for Arsenal.
Arsenal were defeated by Southampton this afternoon, with both goals showing off the more dubious side of Wojciech Szczesny's goalkeeping.
The Pole has often found himself criticised for not being among the elite goalkeepers in world football, today that again looked the case.
Whilst the likes of Hugo Lloris and David De Gea have been keeping their teams in games this season Szcesny effectively cost Arsenal today. He was caught in no man's land for the excellently finished opener from Sadio Mane. For the second he inexplicably decided to kick the ball into the path of Dusan Tadic - who toe-poked home to finish the game.
One former player who believes he should perhaps be dropped is a former team-mate. Fabrice Muamba and Szczesny were on the same team for a year back in the 2005-06 season before Muamba headed to Birmingham City.
And as far as he is concerned, Szczesny's time has passed.

With David Ospina back in training and Emiliano Martinez recently proving himself between the sticks, Szczesny's time as number one might finally be at an end.
