Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Wojciech Szczesny's display against Southampton

Arsenal fans were fuming with Wojciech Szczesny's display against Southampton.

Arsenal couldn't build on three wins in their last four games, as they went down to a 2-0 defeat at Southampton.

The Saints demonstrated their top four credentials with a convincing victory over the Gunners, thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Dusan Tadic.

Both goals were examples of shocking defending from Arsenal, and the main culprit in both goals was goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The first goal arrived in the first half as Mane's run down the right bizarrely led to Szczesny coming off his line, and Mane simply clipped the ball over the Pole and into the net from a tight angle, with Szczesny in no man's land.

And following a catastrophic mix-up between defender Mathieu Debuchy and goalkeeper Szczesny allowed Tadic to poke the ball home from close range.

It was a disastrous game for Szczesny, and fans weren't shy in criticising the 24-year-old shot-stopper, taking to Twitter to blame him for the defeat.

Fans not only called for him to be dropped in favour of David Ospina, but also said that manager Arsene Wenger should have signed Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris before he made the move to White Hart Lane in 2012.

Here are some of the reactions on Twitter from Arsenal fans after Szczesny's performance.
