With the January transfer window opening on Saturday, expect to see Arsenal and Liverpool linked with a whole host of players.
Liverpool have had a shaky first half of the season, and manager Brendan Rodgers simply has to bring in another striker in January.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Villarreal star Luciano Vietto was at the top of Rodgers' January shopping list ahead of the transfer window.
Vietto, 21, only left Racing Club de Avellaneda in his native Argentina for Villarreal this summer, with the La Liga side forking out £4.8m to sign him in August.
Yet with 12 goals in 23 games for Villarreal, Vietto is already one of the rising stars in European football, and has recently attracted interest from Leicester City, Newcastle and Real Madrid.
Liverpool were touted with a £12m bid for the pacey front man, but now face competition - from their Premier League rivals Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners have joined the race to sign Vietto - despite manager Arsene Wenger forking out almost £50m to sign Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck.
Vietto is a small and nimble striker who has great movement and technical skills, and could well cost more than £12m in six months time.
Both teams could stand to add a little more firepower to their squads, and if the Mail are to be believed, they are set to lock horns over Argentina's next star striker.
