The New Year got off to great start under Tim Sherwood. The Tottenham boss helped his new team to a stunning 2-1 victory over Manchester United on New Years Day.
In fact Sherwood picked up a habit of winning some difficult fixtures including against the likes of Everton and Newcastle United, even if his managerial style saw him criticised in several circles.
Sherwood was relieved of his duties in the summer but Spurs pulled off something of a coup by snapping up Mauricio Pochettino from Southampton after his excellent spell on the south coast. They went on to sign the likes of Ben Davies, Michel Vorm, Eric Dier, DeAndre Yedlin, Federico Fazio and Benjamin Stambouli in the summer, spending £22.7 million in total.
Pochettino had an excellent pre-season, Tottenham unbeaten, before winning his opening four games as Spurs boss.
The performances of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris have been superb throughout the year while the emergence of Harry Kane this season has been a real coup for the club.
In fact, Kane even had to replace Lloris in a Europa League game in which he scored a hat-trick against Asteras Tripolis - perhaps one of the funnier moments of 2014.
Ryan Mason's strike against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup back in September was also a memorable moment - a competition Spurs remain in going into the new year.
Things are looking up going into 2015. Tottenham are in great form, winning four of their last five games and Tottenham now sit in seventh in the Premier League.
