Reports have surfaced on F4WOnline.com today that WWE creative are considering adding The Undertaker to next years Hall of Fame ceremony. It would appear that this option is being considered should Undertaker, now 49, fail his medical to take part in Wrestlemania 31.
Previous rumours had claimed the Undertaker was to face Bray Wyatt, Sting or Rusev at the biggest show in the wrestling calendar but following a recent photo of a very different looking 'Taker it could be possible that the creative team are covering their bases.
It is safe to say that a legend such as The Undertaker can essentially do what he wants at WWE, so long as he is fit, but where does that leave his potential opponents and how long can the creative team wait?
For any match to work at Wrestlemania there needs to be a suitable build up, normally starting at The Royal Rumble and continuing throughout the Road to Wrestlemania. To have a storyline big enough to warrant The Undertaker's involvement at Wrestlemania then his opponent would have to be building the feud pretty soon. Should Undertaker fail his medical then what would become of that opponent?
Many will see Undertakers induction into the Hall of Fame as a welcome end to an illustrious career, preferring to see him go out now rather than after a mediocre match in which he was only just fit enough to participate.
Whatever does happen you can be assured that Undertaker will give it his all and his loyal followers will give him the admiration and devotion that he deserves.
