Tottenham Hotspur linked Ali Ahamada has extended his contract with Toulouse.
Tottenham Hotspur linked Ali Ahamada has answered questions over his immediate future by signing a new deal.
The goalkeeper has extended his contract with Toulouse until 2018, report Eurosport France.
The Mirror had reported late in the year that Tottenham had sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old in action, with the stopper valued at £9 million.
Now any interest is now off the agenda, with the former France under-21 international committing his long-term future to the Ligue 1 side.
This is not necessarily bad news for Spurs fans, because his arrival would have asked uncomfortable questions as to their star goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Lloris has previously been linked to Real Madrid and his world class status is widely recognised, but with Michel Vorm signed last summer - there was no need to sign a back-up.
Supposed interest in Ahamada posed a predicament as to whether Spurs felt they would be able to hang onto Lloris. Fortunately this no longer seems to be an issue, and the goalkeeper will be one transfer target fans will not mind missing out on.
