Taarabt may be on brink of AC Milan move

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt could be headed back to San Siro as soon as the January transfer window opens.

History could be about to repeat itself for Moroccan international Adel Taarabt as he closes in on a second loan spell at AC Milan.

The gifted but volatile midfielder has been cut out of Harry Redknapp's first-team plans and appears to have no future at Loftus Road.

This time last year, Taarabt made a surprise loan switch to Serie A side AC Milan and confounded his critics with a series of impressive performances.

Taarabt made no secret of his desire to move to Milan permanently, but a change of management and some financial issues stalled a move and he was forced to return to QPR.

Things are no better for Taarabt in West London and it seems that Milan may be willing to bring him back again on loan.

Reports suggest that the 25-year-old has rejected the possibility of joining Italian club Atalanta in order to wait for an approach from the Rossoneri.

Milan officials have been seen dining with Taarabt's agent Kia Joorabchian and it seems that a deal is edging closer.

The terms would be similar to last time and would see the player arrive in Milan until the end of the season with a figure set if they want to make the deal permanent in June 2015.
