Derby County’s recent record against Leeds United makes for impressive reading.
The Rams will, however, be painfully aware that their last outing against the Whites was one to forget.
Following an 11-match unbeaten run against the men from Elland Road, which included 10 straight wins, Derby were downed 2-0 at the end of November.
They will get the opportunity to right those wrongs on Tuesday when the two sides lock horns again at the iPro Stadium.
Chris Martin insists the hosts are not allowing their pre-match plans to be dominated by talk of revenge, but admits it would be nice to get one over on Leeds and keep a Championship promotion push on track.
He said in the Derby Telegraph: “Hopefully we can get a bit of revenge but I don’t think we’ll see it as that. It’s just another game for us and we’re determined not to let our performance on Boxing Day go to waste.
“We’ll be working hard to build up some momentum and we should be in a great frame of mind. The lads are buzzing after the win at Birmingham and, hopefully, we can take that momentum forward. We want to start a big run.
“I think we’ve turned the Norwich point into a good one with this result and if we can add to that on Tuesday night, that would be magnificent.”
Martin will be looking to do the damage in midweek, with the Scotland international enjoying another standout season in front of goal.
Having netted 25 times in all competitions last season, the 26-year-old is already onto 14 for the current campaign.
Derby are looking to him to fire them back to the Premier League, and another positive showing against Leeds would help to edge them a step closer towards hitting that target.
