Match to be played on Thursday 1st January 2015 at 15:00. Venue: The KC Stadium, Hull.
Hull City welcome Everton to the KC Stadium on Thursday with the Tigers desperate to climb further clear of the relegation zone and the Toffees looking to narrow the gap between them and the Premier League’s top 10.
Hull are only outside the bottom three on goal-difference and they will know something had to change for the better quickly after their festive fixtures were mixed – a 3-1 win against Sunderland followed by a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Leicester City.
As for Everton, there was little festive cheer on the pitch with defeats against Stoke City and Newcastle United.
Hull injury concerns: Andy Robertson has a 50 per cent chance of playing while Paul McShane may not play due to personal reasons. Gaston Ramirez has a groin injury but has a strong chance of being back.
Hull absences: Robert Snodgrass is out with a knee injury while Stephen Quinn and Tom Huddlestone are suspended. Mohamed Diame is out until the end of the month with a knee problem and Michael Dawson is out with a hamstring injury.
Everton injury concerns: James McCarthy has a hamstring injury bit has a 50 per cent chance of being fit but Christian Atsu is almost certainly out with the same injury. John Stones and Phil Jagielka also both have a 50 per cent chance of featuring.
Everton absences: Goalkeeper Tim Howard has been ruled out for six weeks with a calf injury. Tony Hibbert is expected back later in January while Leon Osman, Darron Gibson and Steven Pienaar are all out.
Predicted starting line-ups:
Hull City – McGregor, Chester, Bruce, Davies, Robertson, Elmohamady, Livermore, Meyler, Brady, Hernandez, Jelavic
