Predicted Aston Villa and Crystal Palace line-ups: Enforced changes all round

Villa Park Clear

Match to be played on Thursday 1st January 2015 at 15:00. Venue: Villa Park, Birmingham.

Aston Villa will fancy their chances of three points in the game against Crystal Palace on New Years Day but they’ll have to go about the game without key midfielder Fabian Delph.

Delph is suspended after he was sent off during the 0-0 draw against Sunderland, as Villa reacted positively after falling to defeat against Swansea City in their last game after a good display against Manchester United.

The incentive for Villa is that a win takes them close to the teams contending for positions in the top half of the table.

For Crystal Palace, there’s a little uncertainty surrounding the club at the moment.

Alan Pardew comes in for Neil Warnock who was given his marching orders, as the team dropped into the relegation places along with Burnley and Leicester City.

Here are the sides that each team could go with for the fixture on New Years Day.

Aston Villa: Guzan, Hutton, Vlaar, Clark, Cissokho, Grealish, Sanchez, Cleverley, N’Zogbia, Weimann, Benteke

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Mariappa, Dann, Hangeland, Ward, McArthur, Bannan, Ledley, Puncheon, Zaha, Campbell
