Lallana delighted with Swansea win
On Monday night, Liverpool showed their class with a 4-1 thumping of Swansea City at Anfield. The hero of the night was playmaker Adam Lallana, who scored twice to drive the Reds onto victory, and he says the team's performances are getting noticeably better.
"Of late we've picked up our level of performance and the wins have been coming more frequently," said Lallana. "We said it was very important to get the back-to-back wins after a tough game against Burnley."
"We've got another winnable game now against Leicester on Thursday. So we're picking up a bit of momentum and the performance as well. It's a great chance for us over the Christmas period to pick up points, which can push us up further towards the fourth spot," he added.
Agger misses Liverpool!
With Brendan Rodgers snapping up Southampton's Dejan Lovren in a £20m deal this summer, Danish international Daniel Agger left he club for a move back to Brondby, and admitted that he misses Merseyside having watched the Reds' win over Swansea.
"I miss it more than I expected," Agger said. "Just being back in Liverpool, in the city, has been good for me. I really miss it and after almost nine years of being here, it is good to be back.”
"I’ve watched almost every game this season. It has been up and downs and the league position is not what we would’ve hoped for but the last few weeks have been a bit more positive," he added.
Reds to reject Emre Can bid
Reports over the weekend suggested that Real Sociedad boss David Moyes was hoping to secure a loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, but it's believed that they will fail with that particular bid.
Can has recently been utilised in defence, and having impressed there, it's suggested that Rodgers now wants to keep the former Bayer Leverkusen star at the club rather than send him off to Spain for the remainder of the season.
