Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez believes he has made the right move in joining the club.

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez believes he has plenty of time to win trophies with the club and make his move a resounding success.

Giving an interview in his native Chile, the forward was quizzed how he felt leaving Barcelona to Arsenal, which they described as a 'club of less prominence'.

He was asked about being one of many stars at the La Liga giants to the standout player at the Gunners, and responded by defending his move.

He told La Tercera: "The star is relative, I do not agree. We have a club with many great players, world class, world champions of Germany, other (internationals) selected England and France. In this group I am one, I have had a good start, but the title of a story gets is how it finishes not the start.

"We'll see how my history in this club and there will be time to evaluate and give a title."

His modesty and keenness to be seen as one of a collective rather than a star speaks volumes for the attitude which has helped him get to the top of the game already in his career.

He went onto add: "At Arsenal I'm happy. I came to a league that I love, my club is fantastic, very good friends, an experienced global name that really cares about the player."
