Nottingham Forest fans react on Twitter to Danny Fox's performance v Birmingham

Forest lost 3-1 at home to Birmingham on Sunday afternoon and defender Danny Fox didn't impress fans.

Nottingham Forest's 3-1 defeat to Birmingham City at the City Ground earlier today left many fans heartbroken.

And it was difficult for some of them to single out one poor performer. Defender Danny Fox, however, seemed to try his hardest to stand out for the wrong reasons.

“It was probably one of those games where if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I wouldn’t have believed it," Forest boss Stuart Pearce told his side's official website after the defeat.

"We started the game reasonably brightly and I think we had enough efforts at the opposition’s goal to win a couple of games.

“But we conceded three horrible, horrible goals and paid the penalty accordingly. Myself and Steve Wigley spoke with the players after the game and said ‘Look, it’s time to roll our sleeves up and man up a little bit.’

“I don’t want to take any credit away from Birmingham, but I thought they didn’t deserve to win the game today but came away with a ‘charitable donation’ from Nottingham Forest.”

Pearce's men are now six Championship games without a win - and opinion is very firmly split on their manager. The Forest icon did receive plenty of backing from the stands against Birmingham, though, which is more than can be said for Fox.

After the game, many Forest fans seemed to have had enough on Twitter - here are their best reactions:
