Michael Owen predicts Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United

Michael Owen backs Manchester United to pick up all three points from the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Michael Owen has predicted Manchester United to get the better of Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Red Devils will head into the Premier League clash at White Hart Lane on the back of a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United on Boxing Day.

Wayne Rooney scored twice and Robin van Persie netted once, as United returned to winning ways in the league.

Owen, a former United striker, has backed Louis van Gaal’s side to build on that success and pick up all three points against Tottenham in North London on Sunday.

“Wayne Rooney bagged a brace against Newcastle on Boxing Day and the England skipper has scored nine goals in 13 PL games for United against Spurs,” the 35-year-old striker wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The hosts’ haven’t beaten United in any of their last 13 Pl games at White Hart Lane and I expect United to continue their dominance on Sunday.”

United have been in truly good form in recent weeks, but Tottenham have also turned the corner.

North London outfits Spurs have won their last four matches in all competitions, and the players seem to be enjoying playing at home again.

Sunday’s match between Tottenham and United promises to be fiercely competitive and tight. Perhaps a single goal could prove to be the difference.
